Charlotte County has developed a set of photos that visually depict the intent of the Architectural Standards. The photographs are examples of homes, businesses, and accessory structures that reflect the vision of the community and the intent of the regulations. The architectural style that is depicted in these photos is consistent with the “Old Florida” vernacular. These photos can be accessed in the Design Photos links on the right.
Should anyone wish to rehabilitate, place an addition, or build an entirely new structure within the boundaries of the Charlotte Harbor Community Redevelopment Area, it is recommended that they first read the Architectural Design Guidelines and meet with the Charlotte County Community Development Department Representative listed below. In order to facilitate development review, potential developers should reference the photos and design guidelines.
