At the July 28, 2020 meeting of the Charlotte County Board of County Commissioners, the board adopted an updated Impact Fee Schedule. This annual adjustment review is required by Sec.3-3.5-13 of the Charlotte County Code of Laws and Ordinances. Since the adjustment review resulted in an increase, the updated Impact Fee Schedule becomes effective on November 1 of this calendar year. The recommended increase for 2020 was 0.77% and was adopted by the board. A notice was sent to building contractors on July 20, 2020 and was also published on the county website.
The updated Impact Fee Schedule becomes effective on Sunday, November 1, 2020 and will apply to permit applications made on or after the effective date.
The updated Impact Fee Schedule and more information is published online at www.CharlotteCountyFL.gov. From the “Departments” tab, select “Community Development.” Then select the “Planning & Zoning” tab under “Popular Links”. Then select the “Impact Fees” tab.
