While we greatly appreciate the hard work of our volunteers, our volunteer program has been temporarily suspended due to COVID-19.
Charlotte County Libraries and History uses volunteers at all of its branch libraries and in its history programs. Becoming a volunteer is a great way to meet new people, build your resume, find interesting books to read, and give back to the community. Opportunities are available at all library branches and with Historical Voyagers.
Putting materials away and maintaining the shelves
Performing clerical tasks such as filing and phone calls
Assisting with youth and young adult programs
Facilitating history programs and tours
If you are willing to learn and able to commit to a regularly scheduled time, being a Libraries and History volunteer may be just the new activity you've been looking for. Call one of our volunteer coordinators for more information.

Honor and Memorial Book Program
One of the best ways to honor someone's memory or pay tribute to a loved one on a special occasion is by making a tax deductible donation to the Charlotte County Library System's Honor and Memorial Book Program.
Your monetary donation assists the libraries in their efforts to provide books and materials that would not otherwise be available to our patrons. It is truly a gift to the community in which we live. Use the Honor and Memorial Donation Form to make your contribution.
