Amateur Radio Club Demonstrates Disaster Recovery Communication


CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. (March 26, 2019) – Charlotte County Emergency Management is hosting a demonstration of disaster recovery communications by Englewood Amateur Radio Club. Amateur radio, also known as ham radio, can be used to talk across town, around the world, or even into space, all without the Internet or cell phones.

This free event will be at Lemon Bay Sunrise Rotary Park in Englewood, 1000 S. McCall Road, Englewood, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, March 30.
