Centennial Partners Kickoff Meeting Set for Oct. 3

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. (Sept. 10, 2019) – Charlotte County was created on April 23, 1921. Planning for Centennial observations and commemorations continues with the kickoff of the county's Centennial Partner program, the introduction of the Centennial logo and the launch of the Centennial website at 5:30 p.m., Oct. 3 at Mid-County Regional Library, 2050 Forrest Nelson Blvd., in Port Charlotte.

Charlotte County staff plan for a series of Centennial-themed events throughout 2021, and local historical, cultural, fraternal and business organizations all have ideas for celebrating the Centennial. The Centennial Partners program will provide a central calendar, marketing and a website to coordinate, promote and document activities that will take place throughout the county. Quarterly update meetings will be scheduled to enable organizations to share plans, receive event information and learn about programming opportunities, including sponsorships and partnerships.

Information about becoming a Centennial Partner will be available at the meeting and thereafter on the Centennial website.
