Charlotte County Committee Vacancies

 

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. (March 20, 2019) – The Board of County Commissioners is seeking volunteers for the following appointments:

Affordable Housing Advisory Committee is seeking five volunteers who must be Charlotte County residents to represent the following areas: one member who is a Charlotte County employer, one member who is in the home building industry, one member who is a for-profit provider of affordable housing, one member who resides within the jurisdiction and one member who is an advocate for low-income persons. Beaches and Shores Advisory Committee is seeking one volunteer to serve as the member-at-large. Volunteer must be resident/elector of Charlotte County and have coastal knowledge or technical expertise in beach management or beach preservation. Term expiration is Dec. 31, 2022. Committee meets the first Thursday of each month at 9:00 a.m. in Building Construction Services conference room, 18400 Murdock Circle, Port Charlotte. Construction Industry Licensing Board is seeking one volunteer to represent the "licensed specialty contractor" category. Volunteer must be a resident of Charlotte County for at least two years and be a licensed specialty contractor. Length of term is until March 22, 2020. The following MSBU/TU Advisory Boards are seeking volunteers who must be both a property owner within and reside within the Unit. Submit applications to Public Works Department, 7000 Florida Street, Punta Gorda, FL 33950; call 941-575-3600 or email MSBU-TU@CharlotteCountyFL.gov.

  • Boca Grande Street & Drainage Unit is seeking one member to fill a vacant unexpired term through Oct. 31, 2020.
  • Charlotte Ranchettes Unit is seeking one member to fill a vacant unexpired term through Oct. 31, 2021.
  • Englewood East Non-Urban Street & Drainage Unit is seeking one member to fill a vacant unexpired term through Oct. 31, 2021.
  • Gardens of Gulf Cove Street & Drainage Unit is seeking one member to fill a vacant unexpired term through Oct. 31, 2019.
  • Greater Port Charlotte Street & Drainage Unit is seeking two members to fill vacant unexpired terms through Oct. 31, 2019 and Oct. 31, 2021.
  • Grove City Street & Drainage Unit is seeking one member to fill a vacant unexpired term through Oct. 31, 2020.
  • Harbour Heights Waterway Unit is seeking one member to fill a vacant unexpired term through Oct. 31, 2019.
  • Mid-Charlotte Stormwater Utility Unit is seeking two members to fill vacant unexpired terms through Oct. 31, 2019 and Oct. 31, 2020.
  • Northwest Port Charlotte Waterway Unit is seeking two members to fill vacant unexpired terms through Oct. 31, 2020 and Oct. 31, 2021.
  • Rotonda Sands North Street & Drainage Unit is seeking one member to fill a vacant unexpired term through Oct. 31, 2021.
  • Rotonda West Street & Drainage Unit is seeking one member to fill a vacant unexpired term through Oct. 31, 2019.
