Charlotte County Emergency Management

Cold Weather Shelter

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. (Jan. 17, 2018) – The National Weather Service is forecasting near to below freezing temperatures for both tonight, (1/17/2018), and tomorrow night, (1/18/2018). The Homeless Coalition, 1476 Kenesaw Street, Port Charlotte, will be available to provide shelter to persons needing refuge from the cold. The shelter will be Wednesday and Thursday nights from 6:30 p.m. to 8 a.m. The American Red Cross will be supporting the shelter with cots and blankets.
