Englewood Community Hospital Begins Evacuating Patients

Englewood, FL, Friday, September 8, 2017—Out of concern for the safety of our patients and staff, Englewood Community Hospital will begin the evacuating of patients on Saturday morning, September 9. Any patients presenting to the ER before noon on Saturday will be screened and treated as appropriate according to their medical condition. Once all patients are transferred and the ER is closed, hospital services will be temporarily suspended.

Englewood Community Hospital is located at 700 Medical Boulevard, Englewood, FL 34223.

Most of the patients are being transferred to Doctors Hospital of Sarasota located at 5731 Bee Ridge Road, Sarasota FL.

Family members of patients at Englewood Community Hospital are being contacted regarding the transfer, however they may also reach out to our patient unification line at (844) 674-7431 for any questions.
