Mandatory Evacuations for Charlotte County Zone A-Red and Zone B-Orange

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. (Sept.9, 2017) – Charlotte County Emergency Management has issued mandatory evacuations for residents in Zone A-Red and Zone B-Orange areas to evacuate.

To find your zone, visit www.CharlotteCountyFL.gov and click “Know Your Zone” or visit http://www2.charlottefl.com/stormsurgesearch/. A pdf version of the evacuation zone map can be found at https://www.charlottecountyfl.gov/services/emergencymgmt/Pages/Flooding-Risks.aspx.
The shelter at Kingsway Elementary located at 23300 Quasar Blvd. in Port Charlotte is opening at 9 a.m. today. Announcements regarding future shelter locations are pending based on the expected storm surge, so please check back at https://www.charlottecountyfl.gov/services/emergencymgmt/Pages/Refuge-Site-Listing.aspx.
