Mid-County Regional Library Solo Performance Plays

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. (March 2, 2018) – Mid-County Regional Library presents solo performance plays which begin at 6 p.m. and are free and open to the public. No reservations needed. Seating on a first-come, first-served basis.

Thursday, March 15—Chameleon, written and performed by Peter Suarez
Actor, singer, and flamenco dancer Suarez portrays five different characters. Take these five characters, throw in some satire, original music, pathos, and lots of laughs, and the evening is rounded out with an acerbic, pointed and ultimately hopeful glimpse of the “that” which is us.

Thursday, March 22—Acting up: A One-Woman Show, written and performed by Joanna Olsen
Time Magazine said those of us born in the thirties to the early forties were cautious and unimaginative, naming those individuals The Silent Generation. Boy, did they get that wrong! Intertwined throughout this play are vignettes highlighting women who are mothers, rebels, and busybodies, and anything but silent.

Mid-County Regional Library is at 2050 Forrest Nelson Blvd., Port Charlotte. For information contact Bill MacDonald at 941-613-3192 or Bill.MacDonald@CharlotteCountyFL.gov.
