Mosquito Control Efforts: Weather Dependent

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. (June 6, 2017) – Charlotte County Mosquito Control is currently experiencing higher than normal volumes of salt marsh mosquitos and calls for service. Further treatments and treatment areas are planned and ready to be implemented at an adequate break in the weather. Charlotte County Mosquito Control is aware of the numerous problems residents are facing due to the excessive mosquito hatch and is dedicated to reducing the salt marsh mosquito populations in the county. Thank you for your patience.

As always, residents can reduce their exposure to mosquito activity by avoiding dusk and dawn walks, using long sleeves, pants and light colored clothing and insect repellent of choice following all label application instructions. Planned treatment schedules are available at www.CharlotteCountyFL.gov – click Mosquito Control on the Living page. Please be aware treatments may be postponed due to weather conditions.
