Requesting Welfare Checks

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. (Sept. 11, 2017) - As the recovery process begins in Charlotte County, many residents are still without power. This can complicate contacting your loved ones. If you are unsuccessful in making contact with someone in Charlotte County and want to request a welfare check, please review the following guidelines. If you are requesting a welfare check on a person who has NO medical concerns, please contact the Emergency Management Hotline at 941/833-4000 or 2-1-1. If the person has known medical issues, please contact the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office non-emergency line at 941/639-2101.

We are unable to accommodate requests to check on addresses located outside of Charlotte County.
