Sign Code Changes Became Effective April 1, 2018
CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. (April 13, 2018) – Changes to the Charlotte County sign code adopted by the Board of County Commissioners on Jan. 23, 2018 pertaining to temporary additional signage took final effect on April 1. 2018. The total of all additional signage is now lowered to a maximum of 32 square feet for a period not to exceed 90 days. Each permit is limited to a 45-day period and no more than two permits may be issued each calendar year. The cost for each permit is $22.
These changes were the result of a concerted community effort to lessen sign clutter in the county’s commercial areas.
