StoryWalk at Charlotte Sports Park May 3-5

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. (April 30, 2019) – Enjoy reading in the outdoors. Charlotte County Libraries and History Division and the Charlotte Sports Park are collaborating to provide an interactive way for readers of all ages to enjoy a story and the great outdoors at the same time.  Laminated pages from the book Over in a River: Flowing Out to Sea by Marianne Berkes will be displayed throughout the Charlotte Sports Park, 2300 El Jobean Road, Port Charlotte.

StoryWalk engages young readers and is a great way to practice reading skills with special activities highlighted along with the story. Children will have the opportunity to visit the StoryWalk during Stone Crab home games on May 3-5. Children visiting the library can get a free ticket to one of these games, while supplies last. There will also be a special story time held on the ballfield May 3, at 5 p.m., prior to the game, where all children can enjoy listening to books and other literacy-based activities.
