Charlotte County Welcomes U.S. Amateur Boys Basketball State Championship June 2-4, 2017
PUNTA GORDA/ENGLEWOOD BEACH, Fla. (May 31, 2017) - Kaboom! The Punta Gorda/Englewood Beach Visitor & Convention Bureau is pleased to announce a slam dunk when the U.S. Amateur Basketball Boys State Championship travels to Charlotte County June 2–4, 2017. Various gymnasiums throughout the county will host the state tournament.
WHO: U.S. Amateur Basketball Boys State Championship hosted by Charlotte County-based Florida Storm Elite Basketball and the Punta Gorda/Englewood Beach Visitor & Convention Bureau.
- Basketball tournament anticipating approximately 50 teams with over 30 teams traveling from outside the region.
- Participating male athletes are in the 9th–12th grades.
- Each team has a three-game guarantee.
