Charlotte County Community Services Named as 2021 FRPA Award Winner

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. (Sept. 9, 2021) – The Florida Recreation and Park Association named Charlotte County Community Services as the recipient of the 2021 Public Relations Award for a Campaign/Initiative for the Easter Egg-scursion Scavenger Hunt. This award recognizes the outstanding work done by recreation and marketing staff to advance the park and recreation profession, bring awareness to programs, and impact the community.

“Our recreation division and marketing team is committed to enhancing the quality of life for our residents and visitors by providing safe, well-maintained, accessible programs for all users and communicating that to the public,” said Community Services Director Tommy Scott. “We are known for our pristine facilities and programs, and we are thankful for our team that continues to enhance and communicate the programming that is available to our community.”

The Florida Recreation and Park Association annually awards park and recreation agencies, employees, volunteers and partners that have made an impact on their community. The FRPA Awards presentation takes place at the Annual FRPA Conference in August. Winners are presented with a plaque and recognition through the FRPA Journal.
