CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. (June 10, 2025) — Charlotte County Economic Development is hosting a virtual event on Thursday, June 26, 2025, from noon to 1:00 p.m. to help businesses strengthen their preparedness and resilience. Co-hosted with the Englewood Chamber of Commerce and the Punta Gorda Chamber of Commerce, the session brings together regional leaders to discuss emergency management, economic continuity, and workforce readiness.
The event will begin with a welcome from the Charlotte County Economic Development Office and introductions by co-hosts Doug Izzo, executive director of the Englewood Chamber of Commerce, and Justin Brand, president of the Punta Gorda Chamber of Commerce. Featured speakers include Patrick Fuller from Charlotte County Emergency Management; Dorian Zwierewicz from the Florida SBDC at FGCU; Kimberley Perry of the Florida Chamber of Commerce; Bill Welch of CareerSource Southwest Florida; and a representative from United Way of Charlotte County. The session will close with a Q&A and summary remarks by Kay Tracy, director of Charlotte County Economic Development.
This one-hour event is free and open to the public. Local business owners, nonprofits, and community stakeholders are encouraged to attend to gain timely insights and resources to support operational readiness and long-term recovery.
