CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. (Jan. 27, 2023) – The UF/IFAS Extension Family Nutrition Program (FNP) will be teaching youth nutrition education classes at South County Regional Park Recreation Center from 5:30-6:30 p.m. on Tuesday nights beginning Feb. 7.
The UF/IFAS Extension Family Nutrition Program teaches children and teens in Florida how to make more nutritious food choices and adopt healthier eating and physical activity habits to reduce the risk of obesity and chronic disease. FNP also offers free training and workshops for community partners interested in making healthy changes in their organization or community. FNP is funded by the USDA Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program.
