Project Description

Chamberlain over the Markham Waterway Bridge Rehabilitation will include necessary bridge repairs as noted in the Florida Department of Transportation Bridge Inspection Report, update bridge to current design codes, bat exclusion, and Charlotte County utility relocation. 

Project Location

This bridge rehabilitation project is located on Chamberlain Boulevard over the Markham Waterway, between McDill Drive and Ramblewood Street in Northwest Port Charlotte.

Latest Updates

Upcoming Construction Activities Weeks for June 23 - July 7

The Contractor has completed the utility replacement of the watermain, valves, and tiebacks and is currently pending FDEP approval. 

The Bridge is now open as of May 31, 2022.

The project is on schedule to be complete on June 27, 2022.

Our next progress meeting with the contractor is scheduled for June 24, 2022.
