Project Description
Charlotte County sustained widespread lighting and signage damage across multiple locations. In parking areas, both steel double fixtures and single-pole fixtures were damaged, with several poles leaning. Walkway and pathway lighting was also affected, including 28 pathway lights—one pole near MCC 1 was blown down—and 26 administration parking lot fiberglass poles (18 with single fixtures), of which seven were leaning.
Landscape lighting on 32 concrete poles had 37 lights damaged or missing. Signage damage included 10 metal signs, the library’s plastic storage building sign, and the park entry sign, which sustained wind damage to its upper quadrants. Some sign faces were missing and may require full replacement. Traffic signals were also damaged.
Overall, damage ranged from leaning or broken poles to minor fixture and display issues, with several lights and signs requiring reset, replacement, or repair.
