Project Description

This project is designing and permitting and then constructing two signalized intersections out of the non-signalized intersection along Gasparilla Road.

Design four-way mast arm signalized intersection at Ingram/Ingraham Boulevard at Gasparilla Rd.

Design three-way mast arm signalized intersection at Rotonda East Boulevard at Gasparilla Road.

Latest Updates

Design engineering firm Kimley-Horn has completed 60% design plans for both intersections and has just completed the first round of comments post county staff review. Utility coordination is ongoing and the start of application for exemption of permit to the State agency that manages water. Design components such as adding or extending turn lanes are still being negotiated while working towards 90 percent plans. A utility coordination meeting is scheduled for the coming week to plan avoidance while planning for mast arm foundation locations. In addition, SUE (sub-surface engineering) will be taking place in the coming weeks to locate and identify buried utilities. Correspondence with private utilities will begin to establish contacts for project coordination.
