Project Description
This project is designing and permitting and then constructing two signalized intersections out of the non-signalized intersection along Gasparilla Road.
Design four-way mast arm signalized intersection at Ingram/Ingraham Boulevard at Gasparilla Rd.
Design three-way mast arm signalized intersection at Rotonda East Boulevard at Gasparilla Road.

Kimley-Horn is the county’s design engineer for this project.
- Initial surveys, Geotech, subsurface engineering, and coordination with utilities have all been completed
- 60% plan submittal for both intersections have been received.
- Rotonda E. intersection design is on hold at 60% design while county staff is working to provide round-about costs to the county board after receiving the request.
- Ingram / Ingraham intersection signal design is currently at 100% design submittal and county staff has begun the review and comment phase.
- Kimley-Horm has applied to SWFWMD for an exemption of permit for construction.
- Ongoing utility coordination to design mast arm locations in a busy right of way.
- Charlotte County Utility Department is working on locating their utilities and providing that info to the EOR as well as planning relocation of utilities in conflict with Mast Arm drill shaft locations.

As of Feb., management made the decision to move forward with a signal in lieu of a round-about. The consultant has been notified to move forward and advance the design to 90%
