Oyster Creek Flow Enhancement

Project Description

The West County Stormwater MSBU has requested this project, which will involve the removal and disposal of all nuisance and exotic vegetation, as well as trash, from approximately 18.65 acres of Oyster Creek to maintain positive drainage.   

Project Location

The portion of Oyster Creek that is included in this project starts at McKinley Terrace where the Gondolier Waterway turns into Oyster Creek and continues south under Rt. 776 and Winchester Boulevard into the Oyster Creek Subdivision.  The project ends at San Casa Drive.

Latest Updates

The County received three bids for the Oyster Creek Flow Enhancement project.  Two (2) were deemed non-responsive and the one (1) was significantly over the project budget.  The department requested the rejection of all bids and intends to re-bid the project in the fall when weather conditions are more favorable.  When the County rejects all bids, then the bid tabulations are exempt from public record for a period of one (1) year according to the State statutes
