Email Addresses of Owners

In an effort to streamline the permitting process and efficiently deliver information, the Community Development Department is requesting the contractor to supply the owners email address when applying for permits. This will allow us to communicate with owners about the status of permits by sending automated emails.

This request will result in a reduction of phone calls to the department, a decrease the number of “surprises” (e.g. a permit has expired) and an increase in the level of transparency of the process.

There is a place provided on the “paper” application form, as well as a data entry “field” if making an online application, for the owner’s email address.

Under Florida Law, email addresses are public records. If you do not want your email address released in response to a public records request, do not send electronic mail to this entity. Instead, contact this office by phone or in writing.
