Self-Guided Programs

History Quest!​ - Ongoing; Free
History based geocaching and printable quests. New quests and caches are added over time. Follow the link for instructions and prizes. 
Indian Spring Cemetery Self-Guided Tour - Ongoing; Free
9500 Indian Springs Cemetery Road, Punta Gorda, FL 33950, Open Dawn to Dusk
Printed guides are available at the cemetery entrance.

at Englewood, Mid-County Regional, Port Charlotte, and Punta Gorda Library
To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the moon landing, these exhibits will showcase memorabilia from our historic collections and stories from the “Space Race” period. Each library location features different artifacts on the subject.

Public Participation Opportunities

Historical Voyagers - Ongoing volunteer program with educational workshops
Oral History Project - The Charlotte County History Services is looking to preserve the voices and memories of our area's past. We are currently seeking local individuals willing to tell their tales (or that of their families) about living in the Charlotte County area. These oral histories are recorded and preserved in our archive for generations to come. Help us to keep these stories alive; contact us to share today!
