The Charlotte County Government Academy is a one-day course recommended to anyone who wants to know more about local government. The free program provides the opportunity to share and learn about the various county departments: public works, parks, transit, human services, and more.

...about the departments and services under the Board of County Commissioners: public works, parks and recreation, transit, human services, and more. There will be opportunities to ask questions and gather information.

…the many programs and services offered and find out how to get involved in local government. Participants will gain a thorough understanding of Charlotte County and how various departments function. Graduates will be recognized at a Board of County Commissioners meeting and will receive a certificate of completion.
