Recycle carts and yard trimmings must be at least 5 feet away from the garbage cart, and the carts placed with the wheels facing the house. Please keep toys, bikes, and other "keepers" away from the curb on collection days, so they will not be "trashed" by mistake.

Place your yard trimmings loose in an extra garbage can, paper lawn and leaf bag, or bundled. The cans or bundles cannot weigh more than 40 pounds each. Limbs cannot be more than six (6) feet in length and ten (10) inches in diameter. Yard trimmings in plastic bags will NOT be picked up at the curb
Bulk Item Pickup
Residents are entitled up to 4 cubic yards of no-charge bulk curbside collections per week of unbundled yard trimmings, refuse, or bulky items (no construction debris from renovation or home improvement) from residential units. The maximum allowed per week is a total of 4 cubic yards. No excess waste may be left at the curb. Any waste in excess of 4 cubic yards must be removed from the curb within 24 hours. Residents may also set out up to 10 properly bundled, bagged, or containerized yard waste in addition to the 4 cubic yards or yard waste.
The debris must originate from your improved property that is assessed an annual sanitation fee and placed in front of your property. Debris placed on property adjacent or across the street will not be collected. Debris originating from adjacent property must be disposed of properly by either taking it to a licensed facility such as the Charlotte County Landfill or you must hire a licensed contractor to remove and dispose of the debris.
