John has been with Charlotte County Government since April of 1989, when he started out in the maintenance and operations division as a construction laborer. In September of 1989, he was promoted to equipment operator II; and promoted to equipment operator III in 1990. In 1999 he was promoted to maintenance and operations foreman. He was promoted to projects manager in 2005. In March 2014, he was then promoted to maintenance and operations manager. In January 2019, he was promoted to and currently serves as the public works director.

Associate degree from Florida Southwestern College and is working towards a bachelor’s degree in business management
