REC2U Program

Youth Basketball

This is one of the most popular recreational youth leagues in Charlotte County. Many high school stand outs have started their careers in the league. Each player is guaranteed equal playing time over an 8-week regular season. 6u, 8u, 10u, 12u, 15u and 17u divisions. 10u-17u divisions will participate in a tournament at the end of the season. Practices are limited to two per week (one indoor/one outdoor).

Youth Drop-in Volleyball

Drop-in to Harold Avenue Regional Park for skills and drills youth volleyball.  There is no registration required and there is a $2.00 drop-in fee.

Senior Games Swimming

Senior Games

Charlotte County "Fit for Life" Senior Games provides a fulfilling and rewarding experience for all. Our Olympic-style event focuses on athletic competitions, camaraderie and recreational opportunities for seniors of all ages. Games are sanctioned by the Florida Sports Foundation and serve as a qualifier for the Florida Senior Games State Championships. 

REC2U Program

Mobile Programming

The Recreation Division of Charlotte County Community Services is bringing recreational activities to the community with the new REC2U Mobile Programming unit. They will be traveling to a different location in Charlotte County, offering three hours of active programs and leisure activities.

REC2U will be on site on weekends from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the following parks:
  • May 6   - Tringali Park
  • May 6   - Port Charlotte Beach Park
  • May 7   - Rotonda Park
  • May 13 - Bayshore Live Oak Park
  • May 13 - Ann & Chuck Dever Regional Park
  • May 14 - Bissett Park
  • May 20 - Englewood Beach/Chadwick Park
  • May 20 - Harbour Heights Park
  • May 21 - South Gulf Cove Park
  • May 27 - McGuire Park
  • May 27 - William R. Gaines Jr. Veterans Memorial Park
  • May 28 - Centennial Park
