Project Description

This project includes procuring an engineering firm to design the necessary repairs, followed by contracting with a construction firm to carry out the rehabilitation work.  This project includes three bridges within the Greater Port Charlotte MSBU.  

Bridge #014030 Pellam Boulevard over Auburn Waterway.

Bridge #014043 Wintergarden Avenue over Como Waterway.

Bridge #014069 O'Hara Drive over Atlantus Waterway.

Project Activities – August 2026

Construction on the O'Hara Bridge (Bridge No. 014069) is complete.

Construction on the Pellam Bridge (Bridge No. 014030) is complete.

Construction of the Wintergarden Bridge began on March 18, 2026. The tortoise relocation has been completed, and the contractor is now able to move forward with the deck repairs, which constitute the final phase of this rehabilitation project.  This project should be completed by August 17, 2026.
