Project Description
This project includes procuring an engineering firm to design the necessary structural repairs, followed by contracting with a construction firm to carry out the rehabilitation work. This project for the Northwest Port Charlotte MSBU includes two bridges -
Bridge #014044 Chamberlain Boulevard over Jupiter Waterway.
Bridge #014045 Chamberlain Boulevard over Apollo Waterway.
The repairs include installing new sidewalks with decorative railings on both bridges, milling and repaving the asphalt roadway, and completing various pile jacket repairs.

Project Activity - August 2026
The contractor has closed both bridges and expects them to reopen in January 2027.
The contractor is working on both bridges concurrently. They have started the texas rail and bridge deck repairs.
