Project Description
The Tom Adams Bridge over the Lemon Bay Intracoastal Waterway, originally constructed in 1965, is scheduled for repairs to extend its service life and ensure its continued safe operation. This project includes procuring an engineering firm to design the necessary structural repairs, followed by contracting with a construction firm to carry out the rehabilitation work.
Some of the necessary repairs include a generator replacement, pile jacket repairs, bridge fender repairs, structural repairs, and control panel updates.

Project Update - August 2026
Titan Construction has been awarded the construction contract, and KCI Engineering has been awarded the Construction Engineering Inspection (CEI) contract.
The pre‑construction meeting was held on June 18, 2026. Due to the specialized nature of this bridge, the contractor is conducting various on‑site meetings with subcontractors to confirm lead times for several key components. Through this coordination, we met and have issued a notice to proceed date of August 17, 2026.
