The School Zone Speed Detection Program Special Magistrate hears school zone speed infraction cases presented by Charlotte County Sheriff’s Officers. These cases address speed infractions that are 10 mph or more above the posted school zone speed.
School Zone Speed Enforcement Cameras Information
The Special Magistrate is responsible for hearing and ruling on matters arising under the Charlotte County Code Section 2-4-12 and is enforced under Florida Statute 316.008(9).
Meeting Information
Hearings occur on the first Wednesday of every month at 1:30 p.m. in Room 119, 18500 Murdock Circle, County Administration Center, Port Charlotte.
