About This Event
Join CHEC for a Monthly Volunteer Meeting! Snacks and Coffee will be offered.
This month’s meeting will focus on the upcoming annual conservation field survey CHEC Conducts at Charlotte County. The survey includes various different components- vegetation transects identification, Gopher tortoise burrows count, and Florida Scrub jays bird count. The conservation surveys allow the landowners to get a better understanding on how to manage their property to ensure a healthy habitat for these species.
To conclude, upcoming programs and volunteer opportunities at Cedar Point will be shared. Meeting location is at the visitor center at Cedar Point Environmental Park at 2300 Placida Road, Englewood, Florida, 34224.
Advance registration is required. The meeting runs from 10:00am-12:00pm. To register, please call 941-475-0769 or email Tome@checflorida.org.
