About This Event
A Hydroponic Gardening Workshop will be held on Saturday, Jan. 24, at Centennial Park Recreation Center located at 1120 Centennial Blvd., Port Charlotte. This class will be held from 1-2:30 p.m. and again from 3-4:30 p.m.
Participants will learn how to grow their own hydroponic lettuce in a non-circulating system. This simple home-made unit uses a hydroponic bucket design geared for backyard vegetable gardeners — perfect for small spaces. In this workshop, you will learn the principles of hydroponic production using this easy-to-build model. Each participant will take home a complete kit including seedlings — just add water! This workshop will provide hands-on experience taught by Master Gardener Volunteer Bob Prier, an actual hydroponic practitioner.
