Bayshore Grass Parking Area

Project Description

The Bayshore Grass Parking area was severely damaged by Hurricane Milton. A new assessment is required to confirm that the previous design will still meet current project needs. Submittals have been received, and an engineer of record has been confirmed. Contract negotiations are in progress, and once final designs are approved, the County will advertise the project for construction bids to begin reestablishing and hardening the parking area.

Latest Updates

The Bayshore Grass Parking Area sustained significant damage during Hurricane Milton. A kickoff meeting with the design firm is scheduled for early November to review the project scope. The firm will perform a new assessment to verify that the previous design still aligns with current project needs. Angled parking configurations are being considered to enhance traffic flow and improve ingress and egress. Once the final design is approved, the County will advertise the project for construction bids to begin reestablishing and hardening the parking area.
