Project Description
The Bayshore Grass Parking area was severely damaged by Hurricane Milton. A new assessment is required to confirm that the previous design will still meet current project needs. Submittals have been received, and an engineer of record has been confirmed. Contract negotiations are in progress, and once final designs are approved, the County will advertise the project for construction bids to begin reestablishing and hardening the parking area.

The Bayshore Grass Parking Area was significantly damaged during Hurricane Milton and must be repaired before it can reopen. An assessment of the area has been completed, and the previous parking design were updated to better meet current needs. Parking along the existing paved roadway will be changed to angled parking to make it easier and safer for vehicles to enter and exit, while parking in the newly improved paved area will remain straight. These changes are intended to improve traffic flow and overall access. Construction bid documents have been approved and we are currently moving towards advertising the project for bid. Once a contractor had been secured the County will move forward with restoring and improving the parking area.
