Project Description
Acquired in December 2003, the Burnt Store Water Reclamation Facility provides wastewater services to residents and businesses in the Burnt Store area of Charlotte County. At the time of acquisition, the facility’s existing capacity of 0.25 million gallons per day was being upgraded to 0.5 million gallons per day. Since then, the Burnt Store community has experienced significant growth.
To better meet current and future demand in this service area, an expansion project will increase wastewater treatment capacity. In the interim, a packaged wastewater treatment plant will be utilized to increase capacity and address immediate treatment needs.
Project Location
17430 Burnt Store Road, Punta Gorda, FL 33955.
