Cape Haze Wastewater Expansion

Project Description

This project proposes construction of a wastewater collection system to service approximately 500 properties with sewer service, new water service lines and a station that will provide sewer collection for the wastewater system. 

The Cape Haze MSBU public hearing has not been tentatively set.

Giffels-Webster Engineers has been selected as the design engineer. They will begin working on the Preliminary Engineering Report Recommendations that will provide a comprehensive overview of the best type of sewer system and the estimated costs. Once these recommendations are agreed upon, the fieldwork and design process will start. At this time, residents will start seeing survey work within the project area and will begin receiving correspondence from the county or Giffels-Webster regarding the design process.
Land survey and data collection work will begin on Monday, Nov. 6. Staff will be working along the roadway. The Utilities Department reminds motorists always to remain alert and to exercise caution when traveling in the vicinity of work zones.   

Construction estimated to start in early 2025. Public Works paving program estimated to start spring/summer 2025.
