Project Description
The site sustained extensive damage to recreational, athletic, and support facilities from Hurricane Ian. Restroom and concession buildings experienced roof, soffit, fascia, and lighting damage, including the bubble cover replacement at one facility. The maintenance/storage building sustained roof, exterior and interior wall, ceiling, floor, door, and furniture water damage. The aquatic center had soffit and soffit light damage, along with two damaged umbrella canopies and poles. Centennial Park playground lost its large shade, and multiple playground shades, arms, posts, and mega-span shade structures were damaged. Athletic fields were affected, including soccer, baseball, softball, and volleyball facilities, with damage to fencing, goals, backstops, foul poles, batting tunnels, bleachers, and volleyball posts. Soccer concession and restroom buildings, little league restrooms, and baseball concession structures suffered roof, soffit, lighting, and interior equipment damage, with some sheds considered total losses. Disc golf components, chain link fencing, and sports lighting were also damaged. Signage at multiple locations requires resetting onsite.
