Project Description
Storm surges and rising water caused extensive erosion, washouts, and structural damage across the site. Restroom foundations have been undermined, and two restroom door grates are damaged. Multiple boardwalks and piers, including T-dock, west-of-bridge, and water taxi piers, require full concrete replacement with design, along with damaged handrails and side/top rails (200 linear feet). Sidewalks and pavers are heavily damaged, including reinforced concrete, unclassified fill, gravel, geotextile fabric, and brick pavers, with potential mitigation involving concrete replacement. Rip rap embankments, seawalls, and erosion control structures require repair or rebuild. Additional damages include 15-16 wooden posts at the east pier, gas pipe markers, benches (8), and 15-28 c.y. of stone rip rap washout. Signage (including 5-10 signs) requires onsite resetting or replacement, and trash/recycling containers (10) and fencing (100 lf) are damaged.
