Hurricane Ian Waterway Impacts and Restoration: Hurricane Ian impacted MSBU Land-based washouts and runoff into navigable channels Strong tidal influences causing shoaling Reduced draft depths, possible flow restrictions, and navigation hazards Next Steps: A bathymetric survey is needed to assess the extent of shoaling. Based on survey results, dredging will be required to restore waterway depth and ensure safe navigation.
