Project Description
The site sustained widespread damage affecting waterfront structures, park amenities, and public facilities.
Impacts include erosion at multiple locations (riprap, beach pavilion undermining, beach embankment, and concrete road collapse), the bocce boardwalk, boat ramps, fishing and canoe/kayak docks, seawalls, rec center deck, multiple pavilions, restrooms, recreation center, pool house, bath house, kiosks, and specialty fencing. Additional damages involve sidewalks, lighting, signage, benches, picnic tables, pet stations, playground shade, and other park fixtures.
Known damages include gutters, vents, and air conditioning units-where demolition, stabilization, temporary roof repairs, and dry-out have been completed-as well as water damage to the recreation center, pool storage, and pool house. Storm surges undermined pavilion slabs, with partial concrete fill mitigation already performed.
