Disaster Recovery Site - South County Regional Park

This page is a Disaster Recovery Site of multiple projects related to Storm Damages.

Project Description

High winds and wind-driven rain caused extensive damage throughout the sports complex. Multiple shade structures, including those for the playground, soccer fields, and dugouts, lost canopies or had bent support arms. Bleachers, backstops, batting tunnels, and soccer goals were also damaged.

Fencing systems, including baseball and softball areas, dumpster enclosures, and small gates, sustained damage. Carports, gutters, soffits, and soffit lights at the Little League restrooms and concessions building were impacted, along with some metal roof components and drip edges.

Signage was either damaged or displaced, with several signs needing resetting or replacement. Additional impacts included a leaning flagpole, damaged metal roof ridge cap, parking bumpers, ceiling fans, and building contents.

Mitigation efforts included water extraction, drying, selective demolition, and temporary roof repairs. Fire alarms remain in trouble mode and require resetting.
