Disaster Recovery Site - South Gulf Cove Park

This page is a Disaster Recovery Site of multiple projects related to Storm Damages.

Project Description

The site sustained storm damage across several areas. The playground lost one integrated pyramid shade structure and about 100 sq. ft. of high-density poly shade. Signage requires resetting for five signs, including general information and park rules signs.

The pier and boardwalk sustained damage to support poles, side planks, gates, and nearby fill and rip rap materials. The single-lane boat ramp also experienced damage to support poles, safety rails, and gates.

Parking areas require repairs to approximately 8 sq. yds. of asphalt, backfilling of sinkholes, unclassified fill, rip rap replacement, and installation of three new parking bumpers. The covered shelter and kiosk roof require replacement of ridge caps, roof sheeting, metal drip edge, one wood pavilion post, and the wood hip ridge.
