Disaster Recovery Site - Spring Lake Park

This page is a Disaster Recovery Site of multiple projects related to Storm Damages.

Project Description

The site sustained widespread storm damage to boardwalks, piers, and surrounding infrastructure. Approximately 100 linear feet of sidewalks were damaged. Boardwalks A (1,800 sq. ft.), B (1,700 sq. ft.), and C (1,300 sq. ft.) experienced damage to decks, support poles, safety rails, and gates, along with one damaged handrail. Site signage was also damaged or destroyed.

Seawall erosion displaced about 50 tons of material. Additional waterfront impacts included a canoe/kayak pier requiring replacement (4.8 sq. ft.), washouts totaling 40 tons, and a one-lane boat ramp with damaged supports and safety rails. Boarding Piers A and B (200 sq. ft. each), a kayak launch pier (400 sq. ft.), and a fishing pier (500 sq. ft.) all sustained damage to their piers, support poles, safety rails, and gates.
