Project Description
Hurricanes Ian, Nicole, Idalia, Debby, Helene, and Milton caused extensive shoreline erosion on Don Pedro/Knight Island, displacing hundreds of thousands of cubic yards of sand. The dune system was extensively damaged, leaving improved properties vulnerable to storm impacts. This project is a full-scale nourishment of the shoreline and dune system. The same design template will be used for the 2019/20 nourishment.Project Location
