Design and construct a new Family Services facility as part of a phased master plan approach. This 2014 Sales Tax Tier 1 project will replace the existing facility with a new code-compliant building. The project is phased combining the adjacent property for a 6 acre site to be masterplanned for future phases. Just over 17,000 square feet the new facility will house Charlotte Counties 211 department. It will have additional space for youth services and community partners to operate from.
The project is the last Tier 1 sales tax project from the 2014 sales tax initiative.
Project remains ahead of schedule and under budget.
Furniture delayed 30 days due to covid and lumber production. No negative impact to the overall project schedule.
Certificate of Occupancy for the new facility obtained, furniture installed and training sessions have been scheduled for early August with building turnover for use scheduled mid-August.
