Project Description
The purpose of this project is to design, permit, and construct roadway safety improvements along the one-mile roadway which begins at the intersection of Loveland Boulevard and ends at the entrance of the Charlotte County East Port Wastewater Treatment Plant. This stretch of roadway has heavy truck traffic to the treatment plant and waste management facility amongst other commercial businesses and the roadway is narrow for trucking with the shoulders deteriorated and drop off into deep swales. The improvements include adding stabilized shoulders geometric changes including widening the turn radius at Loveland Boulevard and straightening out the S curve mid road, milling and resurfacing the existing road, drainage improvements and possibly adding street lighting.
