The County has engaged an engineering firm to design a replacement for Bridge No. 014113. The design and permitting phase is now approaching completion.
In parallel, the County has retained specialized legal counsel to appeal FEMA’s denial of funding for hurricane-related damages to the bridge. The County prevailed in a recent court hearing held in Washington, D.C. Following this favorable ruling, we are preparing for initial discussions with FEMA to reach an agreement on funding. County staff are working closely with legal counsel and will continue to provide updates as additional information becomes available.
