Water Tower

Project Description

To meet evolving infrastructure needs, the Utilities Department is building its first water tower. The concrete pedestal tower will hold two million gallons of water to better support fire flow requirements, provide capacity during peak demand, and improve system resilience during emergencies such as hurricanes. The tank will be located near U.S. 41 and Notre Dame Boulevard.

Budget

Funding source(s): This project is funded in part by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) via State of Florida Appropriation, and the Supplemental Appropriation for Hurricanes Fiona and Ian (SAHFI) State Revolving Fund. This funding helps to address hurricane damage that impacted drinking water services.
