The Legislative Affairs office is responsible for developing the legislative program for the Board of County Commissioners and coordinating the County’s lobbying efforts in Tallahassee and Washington, D.C.
Charlotte County holds memberships in the Florida Association of Counties, the National Association of Counties and the Florida Shore and Beach Preservation Association, all of which are funded in part by dues supported with taxpayer dollars and each of which, as a part of their overall service, do provide lobbying services to the County.
